At Barrow 1618 we aim to
- create a ‘blame-free’ culture, ensuring that mistakes are viewed as opportunities to be learned from.
- create an ethos where everyone takes responsibility for their actions and respects themselves, each other and the environment around them.
- ensure that children are excited and engaged by school.
Our school rules, which we call our Barrow Values, are integral in helping us ensure that we achieve these aims. Our Barrow Values are:
- Push Yourself
- Don’t Give Up
- Try New Things
- Understand Others
- Work Hard
These values are displayed throughout school and form the basis of our school behaviour policy which can be found here.
At the end of every term the 'Newton Achievement Award' is given out to a pupils who has consistently demonstrated these values across the term. To see a list of past winners click here.
